Net Worth Nexus and Kubera
A balance sheet for complex wealth (private stock, LP positions, multiple entities and trusts), described by its own home page as being for those who keep the 1%.
The short answer
If your net worth runs through trusts, holding companies or LP commitments, Kubera does things we do not attempt and $250 a year is fair for them. If your complexity is a brokerage account with options in it, that is the part we go deeper on, for $59.88 a year.
What each one costs
Free plan with up to 10 manual accounts and net worth tracking, no card. Pro at $4.99 a month, $59.88 a year, adds investment sync and the realized P&L engine. Nexus at $9.99 adds banks and cards.
Essentials is $250 a year. Black, which adds ownership tags, nested portfolios and VIP support, is $2,500 a year. Fourteen-day trial. No free plan.
Investment analytics
What the app can tell you about trades you have already closed.
Realized gain and loss per position
Unrealized change tells you what a holding is worth today. Realized tells you what you actually made or lost when you sold.
Per-position realized gain and loss, FIFO lot matched, on the Pro plan.
Kubera's home page describes tracking live positions and net worth over time. Realized gain and loss on closed trades is not named there.
kubera.comLot matching method stated
Two engines can report different gains on identical trades depending on which shares they treat as sold. The method has to be stated to be checkable.
FIFO, applied per position and per account, and named in the interface.
Options as contracts
One contract is a hundred shares. An engine that treats it as one unit reports a cost basis off by a factor of a hundred.
Contracts matched through expiration, assignment and exercise, at the correct per-contract multiplier, including mini options.
Listed exchange options are not named among the asset types on Kubera's home page.
kubera.comOptions behaviour analytics
Whether you are paid for the risk you take: which expirations earn, whether you average into losers, how long you sit on winners versus losers.
Yield by expiration horizon, averaging up versus down, and hold-time difference between winners and losers.
Stock splits detected
A four-for-one split multiplies your share count without a trade. An engine that reads it as a purchase corrupts every gain figure for that holding from then on.
Forward and reverse splits are detected and the affected position is flagged as unadjusted.
Refuses a number it cannot stand behind
The failure that costs you money is not a missing number. It is a confident wrong one.
A position whose P&L the engine cannot stand behind is labelled and left out of the totals and the win rate, rather than shown as a result.
Breadth of what it will hold
Kubera's territory, and it is genuinely wider than ours.
Alternative and private assets
If you have signed subscription documents, this row decides it.
Manual accounts hold any value you enter, but there is no committed-capital, capital-call or IRR tracking.
“Kubera tracks committed capital, calls, distributions, and IRR”, plus private stock and LP positions.
kubera.comMultiple entities and trusts
Holding companies and trusts are structures most personal-finance software ignores.
One portfolio per account. No entity, trust or ownership modelling.
Ownership tags and nested portfolios per person, trust or entity, on the Black tier.
kubera.comOutside the United States
A hard constraint on our side, worth stating first.
Net Worth Nexus is available in the United States only. Accounts in currencies other than US dollars are excluded from net worth, and the app says so on screen when it happens.
“Every major stock exchange in the US, Canada, UK, Europe, and Asia”, with multiple aggregators chosen per institution.

networth.nexus/featuresWhere Kubera is the better choice
Not a formality. If one of these is what you came for, buy theirs. You will be happier, and we would rather you found that out here than after a refund request.
Committed capital, capital calls, distributions and IRR on LP positions, plus private stock. We track none of this and have no plans to.
Ownership tags and nested portfolios for holding companies, trusts and partnerships. One person, one portfolio is our whole model.
Major exchanges across the US, Canada, UK, Europe and Asia, in your choice of currency. We are United States only.
Kubera's Web Sync browser extension reads balances straight off an institution's own website. We have no equivalent. If a provider cannot reach it, you enter it by hand.
Kubera ships an Android app. We do not.
Where every figure came from
Each page below was opened and read on the date shown. Nothing here is quoted from memory, a review site, or Kubera's marketing elsewhere.
Rows describing Kubera always cite a page. Rows describing Net Worth Nexus mostly do not. We are the primary source for our own software, and a link back to our own marketing would not make the claim any more checkable. The demo is the honest version of that check: it runs the real interface, and you do not need an account to open it.
