Built to be read by everyone.
Net Worth Nexus is meant to work for people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification, or who see color differently. This page says what we aim for, what is in place, what is not finished, and how to reach us when something is in your way.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA on this site, in the web app at app.networth.nexus, and in the iPhone app. WCAG 2.2 includes everything in 2.1. It is the standard we build and test against. It is a goal, not a claim that every screen already meets it.
What is in place
- The site and the web app are built to be used with a keyboard alone. Every control shows where focus is, and a link at the top of each page skips straight to its content.
- Every page has its own title, and the web app tells a screen reader when the page changes.
- Account status never relies on color alone. Each status has its own shape, and every gain and loss carries a plus or minus sign.
- Color-blind friendly colors. In Settings, under Appearance, gains and losses can be shown in blue and orange instead of green and red. On iPhone they also turn on with Differentiate Without Color.
- Text is held to a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 in the web app’s dark, light and gold themes and on this site, by automated checks.
- Charts that open a detail when you click a point can also be stepped through with the arrow keys, or with a swipe up and down in VoiceOver.
- Pages can be zoomed to 400% without scrolling sideways. Text size follows your browser’s zoom, so the charts and figures grow with the words.
- On iPhone: VoiceOver labels throughout, text that follows your Text Size setting to more than twice the default, and support for Reduce Motion, Reduce Transparency, Increase Contrast and Bold Text.
- Animation follows your device’s reduced motion setting. The moving list of brokerages on the Connections page has its own pause button.
What is not finished
- On iPhone, some fine print in the dark and gold themes is lighter than 4.5 to 1. Turning on Increase Contrast in the iPhone’s Accessibility settings raises it.
- On iPhone, text stops growing at the third accessibility text size. Past it, pages full of figures would overlap rather than grow.
- The Insights charts describe their shape in words, but not every detail a sighted reader can see in them.
- We test with automated tools, with the keyboard, and with each platform’s accessibility settings. We have not yet completed a full test with every screen reader.
- Connecting a bank or brokerage, and paying, happen in screens run by Quiltt, SnapTrade, Stripe and Apple. We cannot change those screens. If one stands in your way, tell us and we will help another way.

How we keep it working
Automated accessibility checks run against the pages of this site and the web app, and the app’s tests fail if a text color drops below 4.5 to 1, a page loses its title, or a switch loses its name.
